2023 SUVs Coming Out | New, Refresh, & Redesigned

The SUV sales in units were around 26.68 million units in 2017 in the U.S. and Canada. On the other side, the projected 2023 sales become 50.95 million units, nearly double the original sales in units.

Customers who use SUV cars also consistently praise SUV cars for providing more comfort levels. Compared to other vehicles, SUVs also have more passenger seats and are ideal for many purposes.

Today, leading automotive brands that also produce SUVs, such as Audi, BMW, Toyota, Mazda, and many more, plan to release new SUVs and update the already-existing SUVs on the market for the 2023 model year, which is predicted to be the peak for SUV sales.

Electric power plants are also applied in their dual-motor AWD power systems. The 2023 edition of the brand new Lotus SUV is also equipped with the universal SEA platform that supports the SUV battery usage and ensures the passengers’ and drivers’ safety during the rides.

The Starting Price is expected to be around $55,000 for the New Lotus SUV.

2023 Audi Q3 (Refresh)

The Q3 models of Audi SUVs will be the third generation versions for the refreshed 2023 designs. The refreshed designs mean there will be subtle changes on the Audi Q3.

The amounts of passengers’ seats will have slight improvement. The features, such as the panoramic sunroofs, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto technologies inside the SUVs, the luxurious-looking LED headlights, and many more will likely remain the same.

While the powertrains seem to remain the same, there will be chances that the pumping abilities in horsepowers and torques will be slightly increased to 7 horsepowers and around 70-80 pound-feet of torques, respectively.

The New Audi Q3 is expected to start with about $35,000 for the base trim.

2023 Audi ETron (Refresh)

True to its name, the refreshed 2023 E-Tron version of Audi will be using whole electric energy sources. This means the 2023 Audi E-Tron will apply the zero-emission concepts while driving.

The 2023 version of the Audi E-Tron will be for the Q6 model, which is the refreshed version of the existing Q4 model.

The Audi Q6 E-Tron models have bigger sizes than the existing Q4 models. Many customers expect the 2023 SUV versions to have more seats for passengers and spacious overall SUV interiors. As a result, the previous models’ safety concerns are expected to decrease in the refreshed 2023 Q6 E-Tron models. It starts from $65,000 for e-Tron SUV and $70,000 for the Sportback version.

2023 BMW iX (Brand New)

Aiming to surpass the i3 and the i8 models, the iX version that BMW aims to launch is predicted to be the first-ever electric crossover SUV to employ different highlighting features than their previous models, even their competitors.

Shy tech, which means the integrated head-up display projectors in the brand new BMW iX versions to the instrument panels’ surfaces, is one of the highlights that BMW plans to specialize in the upcoming iX version.

2023 BMW iX Electric Pictures

The sensitive-yet-environmentally-friendly surfaces will support BMW iX versions and the ability to connect with a 5G network, extremely powerful sensors in the SUVs, and advanced computing powers that no other SUV brands have.

The Price starts at $85,000 for the electric BMW SUV.

2023 BMW X7 And X6 (Refresh)

Both BMW X7 and X6 will undergo refreshes in different ways for the 2023 versions.

The X6 models are expected to have few tweaks on their engines’ efficiencies. The X6 models will also have minimalistic concepts to the SUVs, making them lose the latest electronic gear shifters.

Furthermore, the iconic iDrive knob in the X6 models will likely stay the same as parts of BMW’s main operating systems.

On the other hand, the X7 models will amplify their dimensions to improve their favorite majestic looks. Heavy claddings will also be applied to their front and rear ends to hide the styling changes.

The Price starts at $75,000 for the X7 and $66,000 for the X6.

Buick 7 Seater Electric SUV (Brand New)

Coupled with the progressive and leading technologies as the in-SUV entertainment settings, the New Buick Velite 7 becomes another upcoming SUV on this list worth waiting for.

2023 Buick Encore And Encore GX (Refresh)

The sporty and youthful looks of Buick Encore versions and the grown-up and practical ones of the Encore GX versions are considered the compact and long-wheelbase versions of the Encore SUVs likely to remain the same refreshed 2023 designs.

Having advanced intelligent manufacturing supported by extensive research and development activities as the main concepts for both models, the 2023 versions of Buick Encore and Encore GX will likely have smaller numbers of additional features.

The eConnect 2.0 connectivity and the driving assistance technologies that understand the human languages are two examples of additional features for accommodating customers’ active and ever-changing lifestyles.

The Price starts at $25,000 for the Encore GX and $23,000 for the Encore.

2023 Cadillac XT5 (Redesigned)

The seemingly aging XT5 versions of the Cadillac SUVs will likely undergo redesigns in their 2023 versions. The Cadillac XT5 SUVs will have the C1-2 platform in the redesigned versions.

The C1-2 platform that Cadillac XT5 SUVs have resembles Chevrolets’ and has become one of the SUVs’ updated components.

The 2023 XT5 will also possess more incredible connectivity strengths and internal processing powers than their new electronic-based architectures by incorporating the latest Global B electrical systems versions.

The redesigned versions of the Cadillac XT5 will also accommodate the semi-automatic driving systems and greatly improved next-generation styles of the vehicles’ exterior and interior parts.

The Price is expected to start at $45,000 for the new Cadillac XT5.

2023 Chevrolet Traverse (Redesigned)

The redesigned 2023 versions of Chevrolet Traverse don’t stop being the full-sized four-door SUVs with three seating rows. Instead, the redesigned versions also include significant changes in both the exterior and interior parts of the Traverse models.

The exterior parts’ changes include the additional seats, SiriusXM satellite radios, and LED taillights that make the rear parts more outstanding.

The 2023 Chevy Traverse also has much smoother automatic stop and start features even when compared to the previous models.

The changes on the interior parts, on the other hand, emphasize the third rows that can either be used for adults to get in the SUVs or for containing six carry-on suitcases at most. The cabins are also full of USB ports, as well as being able to support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections.

The price starting at $32,000 (est) for the L trims, $35,000 (est) for the LS, $37,000 (est) for LT, and $45,000 (est) for the RS Version.

2023 Fisker Ocean SUV (Brand New)

Scheduled to be available in 2023, the Fisker Ocean is a fully electric SUV at an affordable price. The entry-level Sports trim is priced at a very reasonable $37,499. The Ultra variant is priced at $49,999, while the Extreme model is $68,999.

The entry-level model is powered by a single electric motor that powers the front wheels in terms of performance. It produces 275 horsepower, enabling the Ocean to accelerate to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds.

All variants, including the Ultra, Extreme, and Ocean One, include torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. The Ultra model’s projected 540 horsepower enables a 0-60 time of under 3.9 seconds.

Extreme and Ocean One models should have 550 horsepower, suitable for a 3.6-second mile-per-hour acceleration. The maximum towing capacity of the vehicle is an astounding 4,000 pounds.

2023 Ford Expedition (Redesigned)

The headlights, grille, the lower parts of the SUVs’ fascia, and the inside SUVs’ infotainment hubs are the parts in the 2023 editions of the Ford Expedition series that will be changed, updated, and redesigned.

The redesigned 2023 Ford Expedition series will also be accompanied by a 10-speed automatic transmission that can deliver up to 430 horses. The speedy transmission sizes are slightly on top of the previous and other brands’ designs, and the horsepower sizes double those of the competitors.

Meanwhile, the roof rails of the Ford Expedition series will likely remain the same. The V6 twin-turbo engines, on the other hand, will slightly be more potent than their predecessors.

We expect the Expedition to stay close to the current model range of $51,690 to $75,470, including destination.

2023 Ford Explorer (Refresh)

Having both the standard SUVs’ 3.5-liters twin-turbocharged V6 engines and the horsepowers up to 400 in numbers, we can expect that the Ford Explorer models will undergo minor refreshes in their 2023 editions.

The 2023 Ford Explorer models are also expected to carry up to 7 passengers inside, not stopping in merely the engines and the number of horsepowers. The dual-board moonroof available in the models will also add exclusive interior looks for SUVs.

We will also find crystal display portraits as the infotainment hubs for the refreshed 2023 Ford Explorer versions at the cabins’ core.

The Price of a New Explorer should start at $32,000.

Ford Explorer EV (New Model)

The Fully Electric Ford Explored is expected to come in 2023. After the success achieved by the Mustang Mach-E, Ford E-Transit, and F-150 Lightning, it seems that Ford is increasingly looking to expand its electric line by launching the Explorer EV.

The all-electric Explorer will be on sale in 2023 and manufactured alongside the Mach-E at Ford’s Cuautitlan Assembly Plant in Mexico.

2023 Genesis GV80 (Refresh)

Considering the already-existing 2021 versions of the Genesis GV80 on markets, the 2023 editions will likely be the refreshed versions and the leaping versions of the previous years, given that there are no known 2022 versions of Genesis GV80.

The previous year’s models offer three different base trim levels and ten configurable drivetrains. The refreshed versions will likely have at least four base trim levels with constant amounts of configurable drivetrains since such amounts permit more rooms for users to personalize the SUVs.

There will be one additional seat for the 2023 Genesis GV80 versions. Other interior features, such as the curved 22-inch infotainment displays, touch-sensitive controls, and many more, will likely remain the same.

The Price starts at $50,000 for this Korean luxury SUV

2024 Hummer EV SUV (Brand New)

The revolutionary brand new Hummer EV SUVs are dubbed as the world’s first fully electric-powered super trucks with zero emissions. These SUVs will also be the unique SUVs worth waiting for since the SUVs combine the truck architectures on the exterior parts.

GMC Hummer EV SUV Pictures

Unlike other SUVs with sun or moonroofs as the exterior parts, the brand new Hummer EV SUVs will have infinity roofs with modular sky panels. These, combined with the Lunar Shadow and Lunar Horizon-themed interior colors of jet black and taupe, produce intergalactic and otherworldly looks as if we’re going to embark on interstellar journeys.

The Price for this eclectic Hummer SUV starts at $105,000.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe (Redesigned)

Hyundai Santa Fe versions’ latest designs have 2.0-liters turbo engines and the capacities of 235 horsepowers, which are far below the SUV markets’ standards of 3.5-liters turbo engines with 268 horsepowers.

Having those being said, the 2023 Santa Fe versions will likely get redesigned on the fuel engines.

If there are things that the redesigned versions of Hyundai Santa Fe don’t change, those will be the visual appearances. Still, the back ends will have taillights whose patterns are entirely different from the predecessors. Perhaps there will be LED taillights included as well. Also, the bumpers will be tweaked, and the grille will grow significantly in terms of size.

When it goes on sale, we expect the Price starts at $35,000.

2023 Infiniti QX80 (Redesigned)

Over the next 2-3 years, Infiniti plans to release and redesign 5 SUV models. The Infiniti QX80 is one of the existing Infiniti-made SUVs that will undergo redesigning processes in 2023.

The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be two additional infotainment features present in the redesigned versions of the Infiniti QX80. The Infiniti-made InTouch infotainment in the 2023 QX80 versions will also deliver and transmit more explicit pictures and have quicker downloads and uploads.

We can also expect full electricity as the main power source for the 2023 Infiniti Full-Size SUV that high-capacity battery packs will support in waiting for these SUV versions. It cost around $70,500 to $85,000.

2023 Lexus RX (Redesigned)

It is unclear if the redesigned versions of the 2023 Lexus RX will have the standard 3.5-liter V6 turbo engines or the hybridized turbo engines with V6 as the main engines.

Nonetheless, compared to the simpler-looking Lexus RX available worldwide, the redesigned 2023 Lexus RX will have complex exterior looks and more color selections.

These exterior tweaks make the 2023 Lexus RX potentially more exclusive and premium-looking than the existing Lexus RX models. There will also be additional front lights with completely different designs than the existing ones. The blacked-out C-pillars in the redesigned 2023 Lexus RX will also be highlights for the redesigning processes.

The Price for redesigned Lexus RX lineup starts at $45,000.

2023 Lexus RZ (Brand New)

Lexus is getting ready to enter the electric vehicle market with the RZ, a compact SUV that shares a platform with the Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ4x.

Because of the platform sharing, the RZ looks similar to the Toyota bZ4x on the outside and inside, and both use the same 65.6 kWh battery.

The RZ’s electric motor configuration, on the other hand, is more powerful, reaching 300 horsepower. Lexus calls it Direct4, and it comes standard with AWD.

When released, the Lexus RZ is expected to have two trim levels: RZ450e and RZ450 F Sport, with prices starting at $56,000 for the F Sport model and $52,000 for the non-F Sport model.

2023 Lincoln Navigator (Redesigned)

Once considered the top SUV standard, the Navigator is again coming into the SUV industry in 2023 with complete redesigns.

As the infotainment screens are crucial for the SUVs’ interiors, the 2023 editions of Lincoln Navigators make some tweaks for the screens. The screen sizes will be much larger, and the orientation will be horizontal to be different from other SUVs with vertical screen designs.

Even though the 2023 versions will use the same 3.5-liters twin-turbocharged V6 engines, they will undergo F-150 power boosts, differentiating them from the existing Lincoln Navigator versions.

The Price starts at $75,000 for the New Navigator.

2023 Mazda CX-30 (Refresh)

It is no secret that Mazda won’t likely release brand-new cars and SUV types on markets until the next-generation platforms are available. So, in 2023, the existing SUV models’ refreshments are the only things we can expect for Mazda, including Mazda CX-30.

Then again, not many of the exterior or interior parts of the 2023 Mazda CX-30 can be expected to change. The Price is not much different from the current model, around $23,000.

The Mazda CX-30 is a compact SUV that has the potential to be the best. It has abundant features, elegant interiors, and an affordable price that makes it shine. Moreover, the CX-30 is also equipped with a powerful engine, making it one of the fastest SUVs in its class.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC (Redesigned)

The redesigned versions of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUVs will emphasize the SUVs’ sleek and sporty looks, with more stretched, inline-6-like hoods, more pronounced rear haunches, lowered roofs, and many other features.

The Modular High Architecture (or MHA) will remain the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC’s main theme even in the redesigned forms.

Even so, Mercedes will add more advanced means of joining technologies. The steel components will also be changed to stronger and more durable aluminum materials. The steel materials will also be the primary materials for the seats, side doors, and many other parts in some interior features.

The Price of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC, I expect, will remain close to the current model, which is around $45,000 to $79,000.

2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (Redesigned)

When observed from a distance, the redesigned 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross may look no different than those in the already-existing markets. However, there are significant changes in the exterior parts of the SUVs.

New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Redesign Pictures

The additional fog lights and the LED effects in the 2023 editions make the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross appear exotic. The bumpers are now in dark colors, giving out stronger sporty vibes to the exteriors.

Even though the 2023 model year Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross maintain panoramic roofs, the interiors’ head units increase in terms of size. Not stopping there, the head units can also be linked to a smartphone for better navigation experiences.

The Price starts at $25,000 for the Eclipse Cross base trim.

2023 Subaru Outback (Refresh)

The 2023 year will be the moment for Subaru to refresh the Subaru Outback models in exterior and interior designs.

The refreshed versions of the Subaru Outback in 2023 will likely maintain the rugged exterior appearances. The flexible Yokohama GEOLANDAR tires are the supporting spare parts enabling Subaru Outback users to drive in difficult areas. Simultaneously, the dual-functioned X-MODE will also experience minor updates for driving in snowy, sandy, or muddy areas.

The anti-glare hood designs that make it the drivers easy to look around while driving will likely remain the same. The number of LED lights on the SUVs’ front and rear parts won’t change much. The New Outback will cost about $27,000 for the base model.

2023 Subaru Solterra ( Brand New )

Subaru Solterra Pictures

The Upcoming Solterra is the first Subaru EV ever. Sharing the platform with the forthcoming Toyota bZ4X, it is hoped that the Subaru Solterra will get a bit of a signature Subaru touch.

Subaru hasn’t officially announced the Solterra price yet, but it’s expected to start at $37,000, which is worth the wait. On the Official website, Subaru says it will be available in late 2022 or beginning 2023 as the 2023 model year.

2023 Toyota Grand Highlander (Brand New)

Toyota is expected to release the New Grand Highlander in 2023 to expand its crossover line. This 3-row SUV will be positioned above the Highlander and below the larger Sequoia.

Under the hood, it looks like the New Grand Highlander will carry the same engine options as the latest generation of Highlander, which is a 3.5L V6 with 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. There is also a choice of a 2.5L four-cylinder hybrid engine with a total power of 243 horsepower.

2023 Toyota 4Runner (Redesigned)

Positioning the SUVs as the most challenging and most modern Toyota SUVs, the 2023 Toyota 4Runner will undergo major redesigns, especially on the SUVs’ interior parts.

Toyota doesn’t stop by only giving the 4Runner models premium materials. Instead, they also add more LED headlights and make tweaks on the modified TRD wheels, where they wrap them with Nitto Terra Grappler tires.

They also add convenient third rows on the seating arrangements, which are possible for adults to sit on or carry suitcases. The spacious cabins will also be accompanied by intelligent driver assistance systems and interactive infotainment hubs for entertainment purposes.

The Estimated Price for 6th gen Toyota 4Runner is about $37,000.

2023 Volvo XC100 (Brand New)

The Volvo XC100 will be released in 2023, along with the popular hybrid-based XC90 series. The all-new coupe-style SUV flagship is the main concept of the 2023 Volvo XC100 versions.

Volvo EV XC100 Badge

The small sizes Volvo XC100 will have and the seats designed for only four passengers will make these new Volvo SUVs more personalized. Along with having autonomous driving features and fully electric power sources, the Volvo XC100 has become one of the most environmentally friendly brand new SUVs.

The 2023 Volvo XC100 will also emphasize the next-gen SPA-II architecture, which is considered the major update from the previous SPA architectures. The XC100 costs about $100,000 when it goes on sale.
